PRESENTERS
KEYNOTE ADDRESSES
Keynote addresses from Minister Kerry Vincent MLC (Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Minister for Local Government, and Minister for Housing and Planning) and Senator Tammy Tyrrell (Past Chair of the Tasmanian Freight Equalisation Scheme Committee) will set the stage for the forum, focusing on infrastructure, transport policy, and strategic priorities for the state.
PANEL 1: DOMESTIC SHIPPING
This panel will explore the future of Bass Strait shipping in Tasmania. With new investments in vessels, port development, and capacity growth, leaders from all three carriers will provide insight as to the future opportunities and challenges ahead.
PANEL 2: INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
The international shipping panel will cover global trade dynamics, export opportunities, and the role of Tasmania in international freight networks. Perspectives from shipping lines, exporters, and logistics providers will be shared.
PANEL 3: TASMANIAN FREIGHT EQUALISATION SCHEME (TFES) REVIEW
This panel will examine the ongoing review of the TFES, considering the implications for shippers, freight operators, and regional development. Discussion will focus on how the scheme can continue to support Tasmania's competitiveness.
PANEL 4: RAIL AND PORTS
The final panel will address rail infrastructure and port operations with a focus on opportunities for future innovation and collaboration across the supply chain.
